Muzaffar Ahmed Mahavidyalaya is situated at Salar, which is the junction of two districts, namely Murshidabad and Purba Bardhaman and it is very near to Salar Railway Station, which is directly linked with Howrah, Katwa, Berhampore and Malda by train. Salar is also well linked with Birbhum and Nadia districts by roads. The college offers Honours/Major in almost all subjects of Arts Stream including Geography and Arabic.
